Itinerary

Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. Explore Thamel’s numerous bars, shops and restaurants and begin the taste of Nepali life at your leisure. We’ll meet at our office over tea to begin orientation and finalize the trip. Then, in the evening we have a general tour briefing over dinner.

O/N Standard Hotel in Thamel | Meals: Dinner

We check out from the hotel at 7:30 for Besisahar. On a private vehicle (a jeep or a hiace) we drive to Besisahar and then ride about 9 km to Nadi on a Jeep track to stretch our legs.

O/N Standard Hotel in Pokhara | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The trail soon turns to rough jeep track and follows the course of the Marshyangdi River along the left side of the valley. This jeep track is steep rocky with a final 1km descent into the flat valley surrounding Taal.

Leaving Taal, we cross Marshangdi river towards a jeep track. It becomes more rideable with closer views of snow-capped peaks and a follows a wide trail to reach to Danakyu. From here, we climb steep up to Timang. After a hard day's work to reach Chame, if time permits, you can relax by the hot spring on the other side of the Marshyangdi River.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The route goes through a dense forest in a steep, narrow valley. After crossing the Marshagdi  river, the route follows through a wide valley that opens up ahead of us to Pisang Village and then cross the Pisang River and start few pushing section Deurali Danda (3486m). Then, we ride on a great downhill and flat track to Humde (3280m). From here we ride gradual uphill to Manang.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We stay in Manang to acclimatize to the high altitude and rest our muscles. The whole day is at leisure so you can take a walk around the Manang valley, interact to the local people and visit local monasteries. If you want, we can hike to Ice Lake (4620m, 6-7 hrs) or Gangapurna Lake (3525m, 2-3 hrs)

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

From this day we ride along with the trekker till we reach Muktinath. We have to carry the bike over a few sections to reach to Tanki and then ride to Ledar (4200m). Relax and acclimatize.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today we walk, ride and some hard push the bike especially from Phedi to High camp, thus not rideable (about 2km only rideable) due to bit rocky and very steep trail. We are staying high camp instead of Thorang Phedi because there are many trekkers staying in Phedi thus next morning will be bit mess and crowd.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today is the most fascinating day of the trip. 4 AM start is necessary to cross the Thorong La pass: the trail can get windy later making it difficult to cross the pass. It will take approximately 4 hours to reach the top and will be hard push and carry for bikers. The effects of altitude are now fully felt and we will be unable to move at anything but a snail's pace. Once at the top, the trail descends rapidly on a very steep slope (technical riding) for approximately 1 hr to Muktinath.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We ride mostly downhill on a Jeep track. But, if you are really good riding on single tracks, our guide can take you via Lupra Valley through breathtaking technical single track section of 4 Km. If you are lucky you can even see wild horses and donkey on this trail. Riding along the  Kaligandaki river via Jomsom to Marpha, we get hard headwind. Marpha is known as apple capital of Nepal. You can explore the apple farms and visit famous and remarkable Marpha monastery.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today marks a fascinating ride as we enjoy the exhilarating descent along the course of the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki. The scenery changes drastically from desert like terrain to a land full of vegetation. You will also get to witness Mt Dhaulagiri (8167m) in front of your eyes. At Tatopani, you will get the unique opportunity of bathing in a natural hot spring.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We descend from Tatopani through pretty Gurung villages to Beni though it’s short ride today and then we will drive back to Pokhara. Enjoy the beauty of Pokhara Lakeside in the evening.

O/N - Local Teahouse | Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We take a tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Drive on a tourist bus is comfortable but it takes around 7 hours to reach to Kathmandu.
