Food

There are plenty of options when it comes to food in this trip. You can try a Nepali Khana Set or Noodles, Pasta, momos (dumplings) in tea houses for lunch. For breakfast and dinner, you can choose from a variety of foods: Indian, European continental, American from a limited menu. You may choose from a vegetarian or nonvegetarian option as your preference. Apples and bananas will complete seasonal fruit offerings.

  • Lunch: 1 choice of any main course menu item
  • Dinner: 1 choice of any main course menu item

Accommodation

  • Local Tea House: Local Tea Houses offer basic accommodation facilities such as a bed (clean and comfortable), bathrooms (in some places you can get a attached bathroom, in some places you have to share a common bathroom). Rooms are not air conditioned. . You will have a single room for two people at most places while at higher altitudes you may have to share a room with a few other people. Our guides will do their best to finding you the best accomodation possible.
  • Standard Hotels: 3 star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Drinking Water

We will provide you with bottled mineral water which is easy to purchase in Kathmandu. We encourage Make sure you dispose the bottle properly.

Clothes & Trip Gear

A T-shirt, normal hiking shoes and a biking shorts for the ride. We recommend the following list of clothes for your backpack:

  • Water/wind proof jacket, Fleece Jacket, Down Jacket (for winter)
  • Warm T-shirts, Shorts, Trousers
  • Hat, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Hand sanitizer, wet wipes, moisturizer cream.
  • Scarf, Socks.

Overview

We begin our ride from the city of temples, Kathmandu and head west to the city of lakes, Pokhara.  We will travel mostly on cross country roads that take us through green forests, farmlands, ancient towns and villages.  We will also witness refreshing views of Ganesh, Manaslu, Jugal and Annapurna Himalayan mountain ranges. We will have a full mountain biking ride experience: steep uphills, heart-stopping downhills, switchbacks, jeep tracks, dirt roads and paved roads.

Trail Option – This tour can be operated starting from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
