Food – There are plenty of options when it comes to food in this trip. You can try a Nepali Khana Set or Noodles, Pasta, momos (dumplings) in tea houses for lunch. For breakfast and dinner, you can choose from a variety of foods: Indian, European continental, American from a limited menu. You may choose from a vegetarian or nonvegetarian option as your preference. Apples and bananas will complete seasonal fruit offerings.

Accomodation
Local Tea House – Local Tea Houses offer basic accommodation facilities such as a bed (clean and comfortable), bathrooms (in some places you can get a attached bathroom, in some places you have to share a common bathroom). Rooms are not air conditioned. . You will have a single room for two people at most places while at higher altitudes you may have to share a room with a few other people. Our guides will do their best to finding you the best accomodation possible.

Standard Hotels – 3 star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara.


Drinking Water – We will provide you with bottled mineral water which is easy to purchase in Kathmandu. We encourage Make sure you dispose the bottle properly.

Clothes & Trip Gear – A T-shirt, normal hiking shoes and a biking shorts for the ride. We recommend the following list of clothes for your backpack.
● Water/wind proof jacket, Fleece Jacket, Down Jacket (for winter)
● Warm T-shirts, Shorts, Trousers
● Hat, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Hand sanitizer, wet wipes, moisturizer cream.
● Scarf, Socks.

Overview

We begin our ride from the city of temples, Kathmandu and head west to the city of lakes, Pokhara.  We will travel mostly on cross country roads that take us through green forests, farmlands, ancient towns and villages.  We will also witness refreshing views of Ganesh, Manaslu, Jugal and Annapurna Himalayan mountain ranges. We will have a full mountain biking ride experience: steep uphills, heart-stopping downhills, switchbacks, jeep tracks, dirt roads and paved roads. Trail Option - This tour can be operated starting from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Add Ons

Itinerary

Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. Explore Thamel’s numerous bars, shops and restaurants and begin the taste of Nepali life at your leisure. We’ll meet at our office over tea to begin orientation and finalize the trip. We will make passport copies and obtain visa-sized photos to make the trekking and bicycle permits.  Then, in the evening we have a general tour briefing over dinner.

Meals: Dinner

Early in the morning, we start our ride from Thamel. We ride on a flat road for 11 Km toward Tinpiple.  This road is almost a switchback, winding frequently, and at times slightly uphill. We then ride off-road along the edge of the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park up to Tokha where we stop and rest for a Nepali tea break.  On our route, we will encounter farmers in the their fields,, children walking to school, and local Newari communities and temples. From Tokha, we climb for almost an hour up a steep hill via the Sivapuri forest to Gurju Bhanjyang (1700m).  There we see amazing views of the Jugal, Langtang & Manaslu Himalayan Range. Then, an exhilarating downhill awaits us. via rural villages and farmland.  We reach Dhikure and ride the final 15 Km on a paved road to Bidur (540m), Nuwakot, where we spend the night.

After breakfast, we begin with a gradual climb of 15km along a jeep track to Samari Bhanjyan. From there, we again ride uphill to Katunje Bhanjyang, where we have lunch in a local restaurant.. A downhill path take us to Chrangi Phedi via forests, ancient towns and farmland. After crossing the Ankhu Khola river, we make our way to Pipal Gaun via cross-country road . From here, we ascend 3 Km up a steep hill to Salyantar and then take a 7 Km descent to Arughat (608 m).

On our fourth day we climb 900m up a gradual and enjoyable uphill jeep track, riding along rural villages, towns and forests, mountain views. We end this day in Gorkha Bazaar, the ancient Kingdom of Prithvi Narayan Shah. This is the area where the unification of modern Nepal began in 1747.

In the morning, we explore the Gorkha Duba. After breakfast, we ride 12 Km downhill to Chepetar and then continue 7Km on a mixed trail toward Palungtar. Crossing the Marshangdi River, we ride on a highway for 13 Km to Sundar Bazaar.  There we spend the night in a local guesthouse.

After breakfast, we ride 6 Km uphill via Koirala Phat to Thansingh, a small hilltop where we take a tea break. A 5 Km downhill on a jeep track brings us to Bhorletar. Crossing the Midim River, we reach Ram Bazaar for lunch. Again, crossing the Madim River, we ride 12 Km to Tal Beshi through Sakra Bhanjyang and take in the magnificent views of Rupa and Begnas Lake.. We spend the night at Tal Beshi Bazaar in between the two lakes.

In the morning, we go boating on Rupa Lake. Our ride today is mostly on a flat, paved road toward the Queen City, Pokhara. Rest of the day at Leisure.

We return to Kathmandu by bus or plane as outlined in the purchased travel packages. Options to extend trip are available.

Option - You can spend a day or two in the beautiful city of Pokhara relaxing and taking part in various activities. We can arrange sightseeing tours around Pokhara, paragliding (famous in Pokhara), helicopter tour or mountain flight around Annapurna Himalayan Range, bungee jumping, or even rafting in the Trishuli river.
